Shot with a big frame analog camera, used a Ektar 100 5x6" sheet.
This is NOT a photo manipulation. Ive used 2 projectors to create the atmosphere in the room. The only "digital" process this image has been through is the scanning of the negative and a slight color enhancement.
definitely do more! what works in this, and what makes it stand apart from digital overlay work, is the alteration of perception and depth of field. this 'skew' is achieved naturally in your image via the projected image, however, the projection was only evident to me after reading your description (i had assumed photoshop and nearly jumped over your art without much thought). now i see the change of depth clearly on the left wall, curtain, and lamp shade. if you could find a way, in future work, to make the majority of the photo like this (ie less 'flat' surface, as in the majority of the image centre and right), i think you could really place your audience in immediate wow (and hopefully avoid any assumptions about digital rendering).
= more 3d objects in front of the projection, less 2d flat surfaces!

this is an amazing idea! definitely do more!
